Welcome

Welcome to our online petition system.  Here you can add your name to an existing petition or you can create a new petition.

Taking part in or creating a petition is one way individuals, community groups and organisations can get involved in what the council does. It allows people to raise issues of public concern, giving councillors the opportunity to consider the need for change.

You can run an online petition at the same time as a paper petition, combining the two before submitting them to the Council. Some people prefer this option as they find it easier to have one to hand around to friends and family.

Anyone who lives, works or studies in the borough of Solihull can sign or create a petition.  There is no age limit – children and young people can also take part in or create a petition.

To sign a petition, follow the link to Live Petitions on the left hand side of this screen.  You will then see all current petitions, click on the petition you are interested in.  You will then see information about the topic.  If you want to sign, click 'Sign this Petition' and follow the onscreen instructions.

See our Petition Guidance for information about petitions, how to create a new petition, what happens to a petition after it has closed and our petition terms and conditions.

Two versions of the same epetition will not be publicised by the Council at the same time.
